I have over 15,000 images on Flickr with over 115 million views. Almost all of my work is Creative Commons so it’s free to use with atteibution.
Film, film, and more film
Most of my film images are in the style of lomography – cheap plastic point-and-shoot cameras with expensive film.
My AI created images are indicated as such in their titles, text, tags, and EXIF data, and now, in the image itself, for full transparency. I use Midjourney, ChatGPT, Nano Banana, and Ideogram for text-to-image creations.
My fractal images are made with Ultra Fractal and Frax software.
Light painting
Intentional camera movement, light sources, and long exposure make for light painting. Christmas tree lights are often the source!
Fantamorph images
My Fantamorph images are made with the software “Fantamorph” and using it, inappropriately, to do stretch-and-fold actions that are akin to the Baker transformation in nonlinear systems.
Google Street View Treks
Google Street View is one of the greatest photographic accomplishments ever. One of my current projects is to use Google Street View to take long, virtual treks. I photo mine, selecting interesting, mostly obscure images from amongst the trillions available and post-process.
I have made a Pan-American Trek that went from Deadhorse, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina, covering 16,000 km. Next, I went on “KD’s World Tour” which followed a path of reverse human migration from the Antarctic to the Middle East, via Asia, Russia, and Europe. I have done a series going down the Mississippi River entitled the Big Muddy, and a series looking at Main Streets in the US. My last completed tour is down iconic (and largely empty) US Route 66. I am currently going through Brazil.
